| Chaim B. Colen, M.D., Ph.D. is our Executive Editor and the founder of Colen Publishing.
Dr. Chaim Colen is a graduate from the Wayne State University, Michigan Neurosurgery Program. His interests include; reading, writing, neurosurgical-oncology, and research in malignant glioma among many other interests.
His research in brain tumors (malignant glioma) has earned him the Robert V. Dantos Cancer Memorial Award for two consecutive years and the Michigan Association of Neurological Surgeons Award for best basic science research for three consecutive years. His interest in medical history led to the Vesalius Award winning paper Charles Edouard Brown-Sequard: "an eccentric genius" at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has won multiple other awards as well for his educational productivity in Neurosurgical Education -the Colen Flash-Review: Neurosurgery (review flashcards for the neurosurgical written board examination) and Operative Flash-Dictation: Neurosurgery (operative dictation templates for neurosurgeons).
Dr. Colen's productivity lead to his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a 3rd year medical student and later for his humanistic efforts and devotion to patients he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society as a neurosurgery resident. Furthermore, he is an active member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. | Roxanne E. Colen, B.S., M.S., PA-C is our Assistant Editor and cofounder of Colen Publishing. She is a board member and the CME coordinator. She also oversees the Flashcard division and all related educational material.
Mrs. Colen is a graduate from the Physician Assistant Program at the Wayne State University, Michigan. Her interests include emergency medicine, radiology, reading, writing, teaching and editorial assistance. She seeks to increase educational awareness of neurosurgery to the physician assistant community. In addition, Roxanne oversees our Learning Center and has a special interest in patient education. She has co-authored several patient-oriented surgical brochures.
Roxanne is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and is board certified.

| Katie Anderson, B.A., is our Assistant
Editor at Colen Publishing. As a junior staff member, Katie is
responsible for the editorial direction of various Colen Publishing
educational materials. Katie also officiates as a sales representative
for Colen Publishing's iPhone applications, Medi-DVDs, and assorted
other products.
Katie graduated with high honors from Michigan
State University where she earned a BA in psychology and cultivated a
particular interest in adolescent sleep cycles and personality. She
went on to pursue a master's degree in Educational Psychology at the
University of Manchester in England and is in the process of fielding a
study to examine the links between adolescent sleep cycles and
personality more closely. Her time in Manchester also sparked a pointed
interest in writing, which attracted her to the editorial role at Colen
Publishing.
By ensuring the effectual presentation of
educational materials at Colen Publishing, Katie hopes to increase the
awareness of patients and health care professionals in the field of
neurosurgery.

| Scott Rakes, B.A., is our 3D medical artist. He graduated from Michigan State University with a major in Telecommunications. He specialized in Digital Media Arts, specifically focused on digital art for films.
Outside of work, Scott is interested various media related to film including TV and interactive gaming. He is additionally interested in music for films and the ways in which it impacts the viewers experience.
Currently, Scott is working on creating and implementing the images featured in our Medi-DVD, patient educational videos.

Elizabeth Furest, B.A., is a Medical Editor at Colen Publishing. As a member of our editorial team, Elizabeth is responsible for the fact-checking and copyediting of the Colen Surgical Medi-Cards. Elizabeth graduated with high honors from Emerson College in Boston where she earned her B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing. Additionally, she double minored in Science and Philosophy. Elizabeth's focus while in school primarily consisted of non-fiction writing, book and magazine publishing, and macro and micro copyediting.
Elizabeth spent a summer at Oxford University in the UK, where she studied Modern Irish Literature and Art History while further refining her editorial competencies. Her past internships include editorial support for Dr. Weil’s Self Healing, an alternative health newsletter, and Harvard Medical School where she developed comprehensive research and editing skills as an editor for their Alumni Bulletin. Elizabeth is dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and clarity of Colen Publishing products. Her work is directed at increasing education and awareness within the medical community.

| Natalie Mandziuk, B.A., is a Medical Editor at Colen Publishing. As a member of the editorial team, she is responsible for modifying the content of Colen Publishing materials to fit the educational needs of the medical community. Her duties include formatting and aesthetic editing, as well as copyediting and fact checking. In May 2009, Natalie received a Bachelor of Arts with high honors from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. She completed majors in both Art History and French Language and Literature. Her interests include interdisciplinary studies in late 19th century French painting, photography, politics, and literature.
Natalie recently returned from an 8-month ESL teaching assistantship in Southwest France, where she taught English to high school and middle school students.
Through Oakland University’s writing-intensive curriculum and from her time abroad, Natalie was able to sharpen her compositional and editorial skills while developing an interest in the writing field. Natalie strives to produce comprehensive, high-quality materials for Colen Publishing.
